CASPER, Wyo. – The popular musical “Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story” is scheduled to perform at Casper this fall.
According to a statement from the Ford Wyoming Center, the performance will take place on October 20 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday August 27 at 10 a.m.
The piece is based on the life of iconic musician Buddy Holly, who recorded a series of influential rock hits steeped in country and R&B influences in the 1950s before his untimely death at the age of 22.

The play has been performed for three decades now, the statement said.
“The show inspired a generation of multi-million dollar jukebox musicals, including Mom mia and we will Rock You, [and] still remains a true original and a musical phenomenon, ”the statement said.
