The testing of the exterior alarm and emergency alert systems by Elon Campus Safety and Police will take place at 9:45 a.m. and will last approximately three minutes.

Elon College Campus Security and Police are conducting a test of the exterior alarm system and emergency alert systems tomorrow, Tuesday, October 18, at 9:45 a.m. The test will last approximately three minutes and a green light will be given at the end of the test. If you are not yet receiving email alerts, now would be a good time to update your information. Please login to your OnTrack account and update your user profile with your mobile number. During this test, the Elon community will be notified in the following ways:

  • Outdoor siren
  • Electronic alert: SMS and e-mail
  • Rave Guardian Security App Message
  • LED signs around the campus

The new mobile application provides the following services to users:

  • Direct call Elon Campus Safety and Police with the option to also provide your GPS location
  • Two-way communication allowing users to send messages to security officers via SMS and email
  • Receive targeted mobile notifications
  • Submit anonymous tips
  • Provide one-touch phone numbers for local first responders and campus services
  • Provide needed resource information to the campus community (i.e. Crisis Counselling, SafeLine, Bias Response, etc.)
