Government teacher tries to cheat using cell phone, reserved

Recently, supervisors caught a teacher at a government boarding school trying to cheat with his cell phone during the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) exam held at Indira Gandhi Government College (IGG) in Tezu (Lohit).

Identified as Hindonso Kri, the 30-year-old man is a contract teacher at Sarti public boarding school in Walong Anjaw district.

According to some reports, the supervisor present in room 17 of IGG college heard a ringtone during the last minutes of the exam, thus apprehending the candidate immediately and confiscating his phone.

Therefore, the IGG College Center Superintendent, Observer and Lohit Police Superintendent (SP) have been contacted to advise of the following.

A case [No 39/2021 u/s 420/417/188/120 B IPC r/w Section 66 (D) IT Act] was recorded against the accused by the director of the IGG Middle School Center at Tezu Police Station.

According to sources, out of 2,190 registered candidates, up to 1,278 candidates took the exam in five localities in Lohit District – GHSS Tezu, GSS Tezu, GSS Telluliang, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tezu and IGG College, Tezu.

Conducted in 130 locations in 12 districts, a total of 22,660 candidates took the aforementioned exam.
