Chain of life 2021

Longmeadow – Pro-Life Pioneer Valley will be holding its annual Chain of Life on Saturday October 9 at St. Mary’s Parish on Route 5. Meet in the church parking lot at 10:30 am The Chain of Life will be held from 11 a.m. to noon. They will line up on Route 5, towards the Springfield line. Drive-in event

Springfield – Foster Memorial Church is hosting a Drive-In event on Saturday, October 9 from 1 pm to 3 pm in the rear parking lot of the church. They will be collecting non-perishable food for the Open Pantry. There will also be a raffle / raffle for gift baskets, the proceeds of which will go to ongoing church ministries. Tickets are available at the event. The church is located at 1791 Wilbraham Road in the Sixteen Acres section.

Autumn craft fair

South Hadley – South Hadley Second Baptist Church, 589 Granby Road is hosting a Fall Craft Fair Monday, October 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be over 100 vendors, free entry and parking. Women’s Club Rosary

Agawam – The Agawam Catholic Women’s Club of St. John the Evangelist Church will meet to pray the Rosary on Tuesday, October 12 at 6:00 p.m. Members are asked to arrive at the church, located at 833 Main Street, by 5:30 pm Everyone is invited to join club members in this special devotion to Blessed Mother, Mary. Fall festival

Holyoke – The Church of Our Lady of the Cross, 67 St. Kolbe Drive will hold its Fall Festival on Saturday October 23 and Sunday October 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Polish and American cuisine, various stalls, games and vendors. Daigle’s Beer Hall Boys, noon to 4 p.m. Social distancing and masks required.


Granby – CÅ“ur Immaculé de Marie, Club Hommes et Femmes presents the Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. With kielbasa, sauerkraut, Polish bread, German potato salad, BYOB, live music for your listening pleasure or of dance. Tickets are $ 20 at the door only. All you can eat, no take out. The church is located at 256 State St.

Women’s retreat

Agawam – A retreat for women will be held on Saturday October 23 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 833 Main Street. Those interested can either download a registration form or register online at The retreat will feature author, journalist and international speaker Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle. Donna-Marie will introduce participants to Saint Faustina, the “Secretary of Divine Mercy” of God, and will cover both blessings and burdens, reviewing key moments in the lives of modern Catholic women to equip those who watch. into the future and help guide the reflections of those who reflect on the past to see everything through the lens of Divine Mercy, and ultimately to discover their God-given gifts. A light breakfast and dinner will be included in the $ 45 registration fee. Two workshops with Donna-Marie, book signing, Confession, Rosary of Divine Mercy and Holy Mass will be part of the day. Upcoming church events

Agawam – A huge fall label sale will be held on Friday October 15 and Saturday October 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Agawam Congregational Church. Some Halloween items, glassware, lamps, clothing, furniture and more will be available at very reasonable prices, revealed Cindy Taylor, co-chair and church member.

A special harvest drive-through dinner will be held on Friday, October 22 from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Agawam Congregational Church. The menu will include roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, butternut squash, bun and cranberry sauce. Tickets cost $ 17 and must be purchased by Wednesday. October 20 at noon. Trip to church

Longmeadow – St. Mary’s Church, 519 Longmeadow St., is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year and is sponsoring a bus trip to Radio City Music Hall for the spectacular Christmas show, featuring the Rockettes on Saturday, November 13. Cost is $ 186 per person and includes 7:30 am departure / roundtrip bus from St. Mary’s, Longmeadow, best available ticket to the 5:00 pm show (90 minute performance), free time at New York for lunch and sightseeing and driver’s tip. The bus will depart New York immediately after the show and return to Longmeadow around 9:30 p.m. In accordance with federal law, all participants must be vaccinated, present their vaccination card and identity document.
