Parking fees now in effect at the Colosseum lot | Electronic News

To support ongoing parking lot maintenance and improvement activities, WVU Parking Management will begin charging $1 to park in the Colosseum parking lot, beginning Wednesday. Payment will be required and applied from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The $1 fare is good for the length of time drivers stay parked in the same spot each day in the Colosseum parking lot. However, drivers will be responsible for paying an additional $1 each time they depart and return to park in the Colosseum parking lot within the same day.

The parking fee will be used to pay for some of the recent paving of the pitch, as well as improved lighting in the area which was installed in 2021. The money will also be used for the ongoing maintenance of the pitch to ensure a great experience. parking facilities for students, faculty, staff and campus visitors.

To pay for parking in the Colosseum car park, drivers must use the ParkMobile app, which charges a 25-cent fee for each transaction in addition to the $1 fare. Payment terminals will not be available in the Colosseum car park. Drivers must download the ParkMobile app from the App Store or Google Play and enter their space number in the Coliseum lot to complete payment.

The Colosseum parking lot will continue to be used for WVU Athletics game day parking. During these times, the site may be closed or parking may be limited.

A limited number of Student Parking Permits and Employee Parking Permits are available for purchase on the Parking Portal.

WVU also offers a variety of free transportation options for students, faculty, and staff to help them navigate campus and the surrounding Morgantown area, including Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) and Mountain Line buses.
