The amazing new Halo Unreal Engine 5 level is free to download now

Halo: Infinite had a tough few months. 343 Industries’ latest effort launched without co-op play much to everyone’s dismay. The game is currently in its second season and online co-op is still several months away and even then split-screen co-op continues to miss a release window.

Needless to say, fans were less than impressed, but 343 Industries is working hard to try to get Halo: Infinite to reach its potential. In the meantime, I’ve got just the thing to help you out because a brand new Halo level recently launched for free, and it’s been built in Unreal Engine 5. Ooo brilliant.

Did you know Halo: Infinite had a very important pug working behind the scenes to make the game possible? Check out the adorable pictures below.

The Zeta Halo Experience is a fully functional fan project started by creator Infinite Forges. Available for download now, Zeta Halo is an explorable desert biome inspired by Halo and, as we’ve come to expect from Unreal Engine 5 projects, it looks amazing.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the project, Infinite Forges said, “The story behind the level [is that] at an undisclosed location on Zeta Halo, the Leader was sent to search for the ring’s spine now visible due to the destruction of the ring, in hopes of discovering [more] about this ancient alien technology. This is my second of many fully explorable levels and I’m thrilled to get it into your hands.

Fans were quick to jump in the comments, congratulating the creation. Danny GG wrote: “This man here does more Halo content than 343 [have] since the game was released,” while Nero Pho3nix said, “Goosebumps! You should definitely get more attention and I hope 343 takes inspiration from you.

They’re right. Someone at 343 Industries needs to hire this guy now because this environment is all I wanted Halo: Infinite. It really makes the world of Halo feel alive. Pretty please, 343.
