The 100 best K-pop songs of all time have been revealed.
Korean music platform Melon and Seoul Shinmun newspaper have unveiled the list of Top 100 K-pop songs based on the selection of 35 music experts, including music critics, music broadcasters and other actors from the music industry.
The top 100 K-pop songs were selected from an initial list of 1,120 songs. The songs underwent two screenings before the final selection.
The selection criteria were symbolism, including national and international influence; performances, including domestic and foreign popularity, and fandom; creativity, including artistic creativity; and performance, including choreography, music video and stage performance.
Based on the number of songs included in the top 100 charts, the top artists are:
1. BTS – 5 songs
2. SHINee – 4 songs
3. Girls’ Generation, IU, f (x) and Seo Taiji and Boys – 3 songs each
4.2NE1, Wonder Girls, TVXQ and SES – 2 songs each
